I want to know how to start multiple instances in Oracle 10g. I have created two databases using DBCA and I have one database server.

Use the DBCA to create your second database. It will take care of all of the details for you. The only item I would recommend is to store your datafiles in a separate directory from your first database. I typically use the naming convention "/diskvolume/oracle_sid/". This way, I can use the same disk volume for two databases. The DBCA will take care of the rest of the details for you. Another thing to make sure is that you have enough memory on the server for two Oracle instances.
