I work in a rather technically backwards government agency (Windows NT,
Forms/Reports 4.5 and Oracle 8i) and am contemplating buying my own
equipment to update my skills in case I need to return to the private
sector.
What sort of work-at-home machine specs should I be looking for if I
want to upgrade to the latest versions and start learning how to build
.Net Web applications? I've heard even the current versions of
Forms/Reports 4.5 (10g on a Web server) are already on the way out.
