QUESTION POSED ON: 11 June 2007
I am new to Oracle. I want to do Oracle replication. Can anyone help me by telling the steps of Oracle replication? Thanks in advance.

EXPERT RESPONSE
In Oracle there are three or four ways to carry out data replication. This subject is very large and I suggest you have a look at the following topics:
  1. Materialized views (snapshots). This is probably the simplest way to get started and is very easy to set up.
  2. Advanced replication. This is slowly being phased out in favor of Streams and requires quite a high level of Oracle knowledge.
  3. Oracle Streams.
You can find information on these methods here.
