QUESTION POSED ON: 25 January 2007
We are running Oracle 9.2.0.6 on Windows 2003. Windows Task Manager is reporting a very high number of handles for the oracle.exe process. After about a day of running there were over 120,000 handles reported. Why is this happening and how do I make it stop?

Is there a performance or resource-availability problem? If not, then I wouldn't worry. If so, then I would suggest that you identify the problem and its effect on performance, then open a service request with Oracle Support.
