QUESTION POSED ON: 30 October 2006
After implementing TAF with RAC 10g, the lsnrctl reports that it is online but crs_stat reports the listener is offline. Why?

>
EXPERT RESPONSE
There are many reasons why this can happen. I wonder whether the listener is defined correctly within the resource group or whether you started it manually with the lsnrctl utility. If you cannot start it with the cluster utility and can only start it with lsrnctl I would guess a configuration error within the resource group definitions. If you haven't already, try stopping it with lsrnctl and starting it with crs_start.
