QUESTION POSED ON: 17 May 2006
We are using Windows 2003 and wish to upgrade from 9i to 10g. However, we are concerned about the disadvantages of the upgrade as well as the possible service packs that may need to be applied. Can you offer some input please? Thanks!

In preparation for your upgrade, you will want to ensure that you have the appropriate service packs installed -- this is true for any operating system. Review the Oracle 10g installation guide for windows, as well as the new features and migration guides. This will help you to plan your migration and testing strategies.
