QUESTION POSED ON: 07 April 2006 My security tools say that there is a risk with certain Oracle products. How can I determine which Oracle products have been loaded on my HP-9000 Unix machine? (The security tools are implying that the following are loaded: Oracle Enterprise Grid Control, Oracle Collaboration Suite, Oracle Application Server, Oracle E-Business Suite.)

There are a couple of methods to determine what has been installed on your server. One way is to start up the Oracle Universal Installer and choose "Installed Products." This should give you a fairly comprehensive list, assuming the inventory is correct on the server. Another way is to view the comps.xml file in each ORACLE_HOME. This will provide more detail in terms of which components have been installed, but it is usually a large file so it can be overwhelming to review.
