The Oracle Development tools are finicky, at best! I can't say I have experienced your symptoms before, but I have had many other issues of my own with them.
- Try uninstalling/re-installing both Forms and Reports.
- If you have Workflow installed, put your Forms and Reports in a different Oracle home. Forms and Reports came out long before Workflow and they don't seem to play well together in the same home.
- Remove all Oracle homes and registry entries, and re-install everything.
- If you are using Unix, get a terminal emulator that supports graphs and run both Forms and Reports from there. They are much more stable on Unix than Windows.
- Metalink.
Finally, always remember to save your work at regular intervals. It's not a matter of if but when both tools will crash.
