This is definitely a considerable upgrade that will require exhaustive testing. Not knowing too much about the applications supported by your database and because you are migrating from one operating system to another, you are likely left with one migration option -- using Oracle's export and import utilities. I would recommend reviewing the Oracle Database Upgrade Guide for 10g Release 2 which can be downloaded from Oracle Technology Network here. There, you will find a fairly extensive section on testing your migration, as well as deciding which upgrade method will work best for your environment.
