QUESTION POSED ON: 11 October 2005
My requirement is to test the accessibility of the application hosted on the application server from outside U.A.E.
Current scenario: I have a private network and my application server has the static IP 150.140.130.41. I have an ADSL line from the ISP, through which I put the application server on the Internet. A dynamic IP is allocated each time I put the server on the Internet. The dynamic IP provided by the ISP is not a published IP.
I have tested the accessibility from outside U.A.E. and am able to ping the server; however, on trying to access the application logon Web page, I get the following error:
(tcp_error)Network Error
A communication error occurred: "Operation timed out"
The Web Server may be down, too busy, or experiencing other problems
preventing it from responding to requests. You may wish to try again
at a later time.
For assistance, contact your network support team.
Can you guide me as to what is to be done for me to conduct the testing? Thanks.
