QUESTION POSED ON: 29 April 2005
I need to upgrade my database from Oracle 8.1.6 to Oracle 9.2. To do this, I need to first upgrade my database to Oracle 8.1.7. From where can I download Oracle 8.1.7?

EXPERT RESPONSE
Oracle does not offer 8i for download any longer. Given the age of the 8.1.7 release, it is probably not orderable either. If you cannot obtain it, you can still export from your 8.1.6 database and import into a new 9.2 database. Depending on the size of your database, export/import may be a faster option anyway.
