QUESTION POSED ON: 29 March 2005
I was installing Oracle 8i on Windows XP, after rebooting the system (when I start SQL Plus and inter user ID and password) I received the error massage, "Ora-01034 Oracle not available." Why is this happening?

EXPERT RESPONSE
Read the other answers I've made by searching this site. Create a database and start the OracleServiceORCL (or whatever instance name you created).
