QUESTION POSED ON: 03 February 2005
I have gotten this message, ?ERROR at line 1: ORA-03114: not connected to Oracle.? I'm trying to write a Pl/SQL block. What does the error mean?

EXPERT RESPONSE
That means the database was shutdown in the middle of your session, or the listener was shutdown so your SQL*PLUS session lost communication with the ORACLE database. When something like this happens, you have to reconnect.
