QUESTION POSED ON: 23 December 2004
I want to implement row-level security on my tables. The problem is the tables are joined together with other tables. What is the best way to go about this?

EXPERT RESPONSE
This isn't a problem if you use Oracle's features for implementing a virtual private database (VPD). Check out this documentation on VPD. While VPDs are sometimes problematic to configure initially, they do satisfy a need that I've not seen available from other RDBMS vendors.
