QUESTION POSED ON: 19 August 2004
When is the right time to upgrade to 10g Application Server? Currently, we are using 9iAS release 2. We are using this for our Forms and Reports applications and MOD PL/SQL Web applications. Are there any benefits I can gain by upgrading to 10g AppServer?

The time is now. AS10g is not only an improvement over 9iAS, it also is a giant bug fix. Forms and Portal moves from 9iASR2 to 10g with little change. Mod PL/SQL will move with no change. AS10g is faster, more stable and easier to maintain than 9iAS.
