QUESTION POSED ON: 29 July 2004
While exporting in Solaris, I'm getting the following errors:
EXP-00008: ORACLE error 942 encountered ORA-00942: table or view does not exist EXP-00024: Export views not installed, please notify your DBA

The most common reason for this error is that the version of export is too high for the version of the database. The higher version of the export utility is looking for a data dictionary view that is not available in the lower database version. Use a export utility version that is the same level of the database, or lower.
