One of Oracle's strengths is definitely not in
handling regular expressions! That is what languages
like Perl are really good at. I'm not quite sure what
you are asking for here. But if PL/SQL can not handle
your requirements, then you can write an external C++
routine, or an internal Java stored procedure to
handle your really complex logic. From there, you can
handle your regular expressions. Just look in the
documentation for C++ external procedure calls or Java
stored procedures.
