At present we have Oracle9i Enterprise Edition running on Sun OS 5.7. Now we are going to upgrade the system with Sun OS 10. On that we are going to install Oracle9i Standard Edition. Could you please tell me the procedure?

If you already have Oracle 9i installed, then after your OS upgrade, execute the following with no Oracle software running:
$ORACLE_HOME/bin/relink all
Then you can start your Oracle software. The above recompiles the Oracle executable with the new OS libraries.

The 9i Standard Edition installation is the same as the 9i Enterprise Edition. The big difference is if you use EE features in the database.
