Q

Setting up ODBC driver for migration

How do I set up an ODBC driver to migrate tables from Access 2000 to an Oracle Database?
The easiest thing to do is to install the Oracle Client software on your workstation. This will install the ODBC driver. In Control Panel->Administrative Tools, there is an ODBC manager. With this tool, you can Add a new ODBC Data Source Name (or DSN). Now go to MS Access and choose File->Export. In the Save File As box, choose ODBC Datasources(). The wizard will then ask you which DSN to use. Use the DSN you created above.
