Releasing table lock

How to release a table lock?

How to release a table lock?
The only way to release a table lock is to kill the session holding the lock. There is no command to release any locks held by a session. Query V$LOCKED_OBJECT to determine the SESSION_ID. Then look in V$SESSION to find the SERIAL# for the SID matching the SESSION_ID. Once you know the SID and SERIAL#, you can kill the session with the following command:
ALTER SYSTEM KILL SESSION 'sid,serial#';
Replace 'sid,serial#' with the values you find in V$SESSION.
