Redo and undo logs growing uncontrollably
Under 9i, as well as 10g, do redo and undo logs grow uncontrollably when they have been given a specific size with no autoextend? In the create statement, the size is stated to be 500 MB and autoextend is off.

I have never heard of redo logs growing, now the space occupied by archive logs will continue to increase until you back them up and delete them. Undo segments will grow up to the max size and then will generate errors if autoextend is not set to true. If yours are behaving as you state then you better contact Oracle as you are experiencing a bug.
