What can we do if a patch fails in the middle, showing the error like object not found?

I am assuming that you are referring to using opatch to apply a one-off patch or CPU. OPatch will generally roll back a patch on its own if it encounters a problem during application. If the patch was applied successfully yet you discover issues later on, OPatch generates a rollback script for you to execute which will roll back the patch application. This file is a script located under $ORACLE_HOME/.patch_storage/<patch number> called rollback_<patch number>.sh.
