Oracle block size during import

Oracle block size during import

If I am exporting an Oracle 8i database to a new Oracle 10g, will there be any problem with Oracle block sizes during import? Oracle 10g has 8kb block size by default, and Oracle 8i has 2kb block size, so can I import 8i 10g without any problem? Or do we have to create additional 2kb block size during the time of database creation?

The block size differences won't be a problem for you. The dump file knows nothing of block sizes. Basically, it contains the INSERT commands to repopulate the table on import. So the block size won't matter.
