STARTUP MOUNT ALTER DATABASE OPEN RESETLOGS;But we got here a message: "ORA-01139 : RESETLOGS option only valid after an incomplete database recovery." We were logged in as sys/sysdba. Our database is version 9i. How do we open the database again without great losses? We haven't a backup of this specific database.
STARTUP MOUNT RECOVER DATABASE UNTIL CANCEL; Reply CANCEL at the next prompt ALTER DATABASE OPEN RESETLOGS;The only difference here is you are telling Oracle to perform incomplete recovery, but you are cancelling right away so as to force incomplete recovery.
