Q

ORA-06401 when using SQL*Plus on host computer

We have version 9 on a computer that's been working fine. At a basic level we can run SQL*Plus either on the machine or from a remote one. I ran installer to add the Intelligent Agent (IA) modules and since then, using SQL*Plus, I get ORA-06401 on the host computer but continue to have success from the remote one. Does IA add something that requires me to change any of my .ora files -- tnsnams or sqlnet?
I have a few things for you to try. First, make sure that you don't have the TWO_TASK environment variable set. Also make sure that your network config files (tnsnames.ora and sqlnet.ora) do not have the '^M' characters at the end of each line.
