I've installed Oracle8i on my Windows XP system. When I open the application the following error pops up: "ORA-03121: no interface driver connected. Function not performed." I give the username and password but still get the error.

You may need to install Oracle Net on the server/workstation where your application resides. This can occur if the application is unable to find/attach to the SQL*Net layer. Install Oracle Net on the appropriate server or workstations. If you already have Oracle Net installed, check to see that it exists in the PATH. It may also be possible that an Oracle Net file has become corrupt. Try reinstalling Oracle Net if all other checks have been exhausted. This may also be related to an ODBC driver issue if the application uses ODBC to connect to the database.
