Q

Logs to view transactions entered in application

How can I view all the transactions that entered my application if I want to trace some of the transactions for a specific time or all the time? Are there any logs that I can retrieve?

How can I view all the transactions that entered my application if I want to trace some of the transactions for a specific time or all the time? Are there any logs that I can retrieve? If yes please tell me the name. We are going to use Oracle 10g. Thanks.
After the fact, there is no way to view each and every transaction issued by a user. However, you can turn on SQL tracing before you start issuing queries by executing the following command:
ALTER SESSION SET sql_trace=TRUE;
Then exercise the application. To turn off tracing, run the same command but set SQL_TRACE to FALSE. All of this will create a trace file. You can find this trace file in the directory denoted by the USER_DUMP_DEST initialization parameter.
