It is not possible to restore a backup of an Oracle database on one platform and restore it to another platform. The database datafiles are binary files that are platform specific. The only approved method for this type of situation is to restore from a "logical" backup, and this means an export dump. If you create an export dump of your database, the resulting dump file is platform independant. Take the dump file to your server and import it into a precreated database.
