Q

Is ASCP resource intensive?

I would like to gather advice or comments, whether Oracle ASCP is resource intensive, in terms of server and humanpower. Is it necessary to have a separate server to accommodate ASCP?
Depending upon (a) what you want to do, (b) the type, location and volume or volatility of your data sources, you may be able to use a single server. Your configuration will depend on a number of criteria, including the number of external data sources you may define.

The Oracle Advanced Planning Implementation and User's Guide, Volumes 1 & 2 Part No. B10144-03 gives a number of examples.
