I have an Oracle 9i dump file I need to import (backwards) into Oracle 8. How would this be achieved?

I have an Oracle 9i dump file I need to import (backwards) into Oracle 8. How can this be achieved?
Create an Oracle 9i database and import the dump file's contents. Then use Oracle 8's export utility to create a new dump file, for version 8. You will then be able to import with the Oracle 8 imp utility.
