How to complete an Oracle schema import after a full data dmp

Oracle expert Brian Peasland provides an example of how to complete an Oracle schema import into a new installation after a full data dmp

I have two similar Oracle (8i server /Windows 2000 server) installations, one at my hospital and one at my house. I have taken a full data.dmp of all the work I did during my free time and need to import it to my hospital system. What command can I use to import and overwrite the existing tables in my hospital installation?
First, in your hospital installation, you'll need to drop the objects that will be imported. Oracle will not "overwrite" the existing objects. Then, import the schema you want to import with a command similar to the following:

imp userid=system file=my_data.dmp owner=my_schema log=imp.log
