Q

How are objects affected if I change a field in one table?

How are the objects (like procedures, triggers, functions, tables) affected if I change a particular field (column) size of one table? How do we find that particular object?

You can find the objects that depend on a table by querying DBA_DEPENDENCIES, ALL_DEPENDENCIES or USER_DEPENDENCIES. This view is similar to Oracle's process for invalidating objects when a dependent object changes.
