Error insalling 9i on an Intel machine running RedHat

I'm trying to install Oracle9i release 2 on an Intel machine running RedHat 9.2. Every time I try to go through the installation I receive error messages stating that libc+ libraries cannot be found. I've opened a tar with Oracle but, since Oracle9i is certified to run on RedHat 9.2 they can't help. Any ideas or suggestions?

My suggestion is to install Oracle on a certified platform. Personally, I only run Oracle on certified platforms. And my employer wouldn't have it any other way. However, if you want more information, have a look at the following links:

It appears others have had your same problem and have had some success working around the issue. As with "weird" issues like this, a quick Google search is always a good thing to try. That's how I came up with those links.
