Q

Error during import from 9i to 10g

I am using Oracle 10g (release 1). I have taken a table export from a schema which is in Oracle 9i (9.2.0) using the exp command, and it successfully completed without warnings. But when I import into my Oracle 10g server from the same export file, it is giving an error.

I am using Oracle 10g (release 1). I have taken a table export from a schema which is in Oracle 9i (9.2.0) using the exp command, and it successfully completed without warnings. But when I import into my Oracle 10g server from the same export file, it is giving the following error:
IMP-00009:abnormal end of export file

IMP-00028:partial import of previous table rolled back 9920 rows rolled back
Please help me out.
This error is common when the dump file was FTP'ed without explicitly stating to FTP in binary mode. Many FTP clients will perform the transfer in ASCII mode, corrupting the dump file. Force the transfer in binary mode and you should not see this message again.
