I started the database and got the following error: ORA-27123: unable to attach to shared memory segment IBM AIX RISC System/6000 Error: 22: Invalid argument SQ
Referring to the readme file, it said that some changes need to be done to the kernel but I couldn't find any document on that. I hope there is solution for that.
Before Oracle can start, it needs to create shared memory, or a memory area that more than one process can use. You are not able to attach your session to this shared memory segment. This is most likely due to an incorrect configuration for your AIX platform. Click here for a document detailing how to configure your AIX kernel parameters for Oracle.
Read up on the AIX configuration settings and then work with your sys admin to modify the kernel.
