How do I dump a corrupted Oracle block?

From Oracle's perspective, you can't. The block has either physical or logical corruption. As such, Oracle cannot read the block. Since Oracle cannot read the block, traditional block dump method do not work.

If there is no physical corruption, then you can use a utility like "xvi" (available freely on the Web) to read the binary file.
