In regards to hot vs. cold backups -- is there really a need to perform cold backups any longer with tools like RMAN, TSM, etc.?

With today's Oracle databases, there really is no need for a cold backup anymore. RMAN does a great job with hot backups. Most DBAs who still implement cold backups do so because they feel the safest with them. However, there are many databases where cold backups are not possible and all of the backup and recovery needs are handled quite nicely with RMAN's ability to perform hot backups.
