Differences between 9i and 10g
What are the differences between Oracle 9i and 10g? We are planning to upgrade our 9i database to 10g. What are all the things I should test to make sure that my existing system will work after the upgrade?

The differences between 9i and 10g are too numerous to list here. The best place to look for documentation on 10g's new features is Oracle Technology Network. You will find complete documentation for Oracle 10g on Oracle's Web site, but the two documents that will be of most interest to you are:

Oracle Database New Features Guide 10g Release 2 (10.2)

Oracle Database Upgrade Guide 10g Release 2 (10.2)

In terms of testing, you will want to test your entire upgrade process from start to finish in a development environment several times. You will also want to have your application support team(s) thoroughly test their applications after the upgrade, and I would also recommend getting the business users involved in the testing process.
