Creating a database with svrmgl

How to create a database on Windows XP Professional using svrmgl with Oracle 8?

How to create a database on Windows XP Professional using svrmgl with Oracle 8?
According to Oracle's Certification Matrix only Oracle9i database release 9.2 and above is certified for Windows XP Professional. This means that you should not be installing Oracle8 on this platform as you will likely encounter problems (either during the installation or while creating a database) and Oracle does not support this configuration. You might want to consider installing a more recent release of the Oracle database software on your server.
