I have an Oracle 9i DB on Unix AIX OS. I need to make a copy of the DB in 9i on Windows 2003 Server but I have Arabic fonts. I tried to do this with exp and imp, but all fonts in Arabic were lost. I tried to adjust the character set for the new database with no success.

Make sure that the NLS_LANG variable is set correctly, either to AR8ISO8859P6 or AR8MSWIN1256 on both export and import. You can view the beginning of the export and import logs where the character set information is listed to confirm.
