Configuring Oracle RAC on a single node

Can you tell me how to configure Oracle RAC 10g, 9i on UNIX and Linux on a single node? Recently I did this on Windows XP using Virtual Machine. Now I would like to do this on UNIX and Linux. Is it possible? If so please give me the detailed steps. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
