Q

Can I run 64-bit and 32-bit Oracle on the same machine?

Can I have Oracle 9.2.0.7 64-bit (engine and database) and Oracle 9.2.0.5 32-bit (engine and database) installed and running on a Solaris 8 (32-bit or 64-bit) machine?

Can I have Oracle 9.2.0.7 64-bit (engine and database) and Oracle 9.2.0.5 32-bit (engine and database) installed and running on a Solaris 8 (32-bit or 64-bit) machine? Thanks!
You can run Oracle 9.2.0.7 64-bit on Solaris 8 but it must be a 64-bit OS and machine. You cannot run Oracle 9.2.0.7 64-bit on Solaris 8 if it is 32-bit. Oracle 9.2.0.5 32-bit will also run on Solaris 8 but the OS can either be 32-bit or 64-bit.
