Button trigger raising exception

A button trigger raised the unhandled exception ORA-01400 error. Please help.

A button trigger raised the unhandled exception ORA-01400 error. Please help.
Well, the button trigger did not raise the exception, an insert or update raised the exception. The 01400 exception happens when a null is inserted (or updated) into a NOT NULL column. The button trigger may fail, causing a value not to be set, that is then inserted into a table, causing the exception. The details returned in the error will tell you the schema, table and column that caused the exception. Make sure that you catch error in the button trigger and handle it so that non-null values are inserted. Or check for null before executing the insert (update).
