Beginner resources for installing Oracle on Linux

I am a functional specialist in Oracle Apps and have not had any experience in database administration or Linux OS. However, I would like to install Oracle Apps on Red Hat Linux. It is partly for learning purposes and to gain some knowledge by doing the tasks. How difficult will the task be (not having technical skills) and what books would you recommend? I read before getting into the installation. I am pretty astute and always willing to learn.

I would highly recommend reading the Oracle documentation for installing the software on Linux. It contains a pretty good list of instructions to get things up and running. If you need a copy of this documentation, you can find it on Technet (http://technet.oracle.com). You will need to register for an account, but it is free.

In addition, the Web site http://www.dizwell.com contains Linux-specific instructions.
