Q

Backing up directly to another Solaris machine

I need to backup an Oracle database, but there is not enough disk space on the Solaris server on which it resides. Is it possible to write a backup script that backs up the database directly to another Solaris machine?
Sure. Just point the datafile copies to the other machine. You may find some scripts of help at ( Oracle FAQ).
