1. How can I back up my database in another PC in a local network by using RMAN and the SQL prompt?
  2. I have all database backups using RMAN on the same disk; when a database was lost I could not recover the database from backup files. I could not go in MOUNT phase so I could not recover the database from backup.

RMAN will only back up to local tape or local disk. If the disk is on another machine, you can create a networked file share and then have RMAN back up to the file share. From RMAN's point of view, the backup destination is local.

I am not sure why you could not recover your database. There are many things that could go wrong and without more information, such as the exact syntax of the commands you were issuing and the error messages, I cannot help with this issue.
