My Oracle 9i rel 2 (9.2.0.1.0) on Windows XP Pro hangs at 23% trying to install OLTP starter database. Can someone help with this issue?

Review the InstallActions.log file located within the logs subdirectory of the Inventory area. There may be error messages in there that indicate what the problem is (this is assuming that you've chosen to create a database as part of the 9.2.0.1 installation). Also check the alert log of the database that it is trying to create. If there is no alert log, then the instance has not been started at all, in either mount or nomount mode. This may point to insufficient resources (memory, etc.) to be able to start the instance. Finally, check the logs created by the DBCA (Database Configuration Assistant). These should be located in $ORACLE_HOME\assistants\dbca\logs.
